Candle Filters

The filter operates by allowing fluid to pass axially or radially through a cylindrical wedge wire element, which captures particles larger than the slot size. Traditional wire mesh filters used in these applications often clog quickly and require daily manual cleaning.

- Solvent-based and water-based chemical systems
- Pigment dispersion and additive blending lines
- Lacquers, varnishes, emulsions, and coatings

Description

By contrast, Multitech wedge wire candle filters provide:

  • Higher open area for smoother flow
  • Low pressure drop, reducing strain on pumps
  • Non-clogging surface due to V-wire profile
  • Easy cleaning and backflushing, enabling longer service life and reduced downtime
